Hello everyone!!!!
Before I get started... HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!!!! I hope you had a spectacular day and know that I was thinking of you from afar! I love you and I'll give you a proper hug in 18 months :).
So much has happened this week that it's hard to get it all into one letter it feels like and especially in our one hour of email time but I'll try.
So how my day looks... We get up at 6:30 every morning and are given about 25 minutes to get ready before breakfast. For some sisters that it harder than others but I value my sleep WAY to much to wake up any earlier. We spend roughly 9 hours everyday in the classroom learning how to better teach with the spirit and how we can pray to know exactly what our investigators need to hear. Lets just say that my companion and I are getting very good and the beginning of the first lesson because thus far, all our investigators haven't known how much God loves them! That's right. Our investigators. We started teaching the second day here and currently we have three investigators, Emily, Taylor, and Masha. We wrapped up teaching Tila last week and it is incredible the love that I have been able to feel for these women as we teach them. I know that God loves each and everyone of us and he places specific people in our lives in order to help us feel of that love.
My companion, Sister Coffey is a sweet sister in Christ. She's pretty short compared to me (4 ft 10 to be exact) and she has such a love for the gospel that she just wants to share with everyone. She's had a rough go of things since she got here dealing with an injury she got right before getting here but she's working through it because we do want so badly to get the work done!
Now here's a surprise for you... I helped with a musical number for Sunday this last week... but it wasn't singing. That's right. I Sister Tobler, accompanied a departing district in their musical number. I know that there is no way that I could have done it without the comport of the Lord. I didn't even shake like a leaf when I got down! I played "God be with you till we meet again" while they all sang and I can't believe that I was able to keep it all together. It's hard to imagine that in just two weeks, that will be me saying goodbye to my district. They have become family and I will miss them so much.
I'm trying to remember what else I'm doing up here because there is so much in a week! I'm singing with the choir and tonight for devotional we will be singing "Lead, Kindly Light" and I just want to encourage all of y'all to go and look up the story behind it. I wish I could type it all up for you not but I don't have the time. That's your homework :). It's a story all about trusting God as He leads you through some of the darkest times of your life and just knowing that you will never be alone.
Today we went to the temple as a district and it was so wonderful, as always :). I love to get to go to the temple often and to get to feel of the special spirit there and feel so close to God. The spirit is everywhere here but it's especially strong on the grounds. Hopefully I can figure out how to send some pictures from our walk there on Sunday.
Thank you Mangum Family and Knudson Family for the package! It's so much fun to get that bright slip of paper during dinner saying that you have a package so I absolutely loved it. Especially the mints :) How'd you know ;).
I love you all and I want you to know that I know for a fact that this gospel is true. I'm still learning more everyday but I know that as we diligently seek after knowledge, God will grant it to us. He know's us better than anyone else and He wants us to pray to Him and to get to know Him better. I know it's true!
Love you all!
